When your new to design there will be a lot of industry jargon thrown your way one of these is the hexadecimal color range. For those familiar with the show reboot you maybe thinking about this character.
What we are actually referring to is a six digit alphanumeric code that represents color… wow that make me sound either intelligent or geekish, you decide.
When you’re adding a color to your web site with HTML, sometimes you maybe able to type in the name of the color (green). But more often than not, you’ll need to use the hex code (short form of hexidecimal), which is something that the browser will understand. Choose a color from the list below and look at the hex code. If we wanted our background to be red, for example, we’d type bgcolor=”#FF0000″.
You may hear about the 216 non-dithering browser safe colors. Dithering just means that some colors break up in some browsers and look really unprofessional on your web page. The six number code on each of these colors is the one you would put in your html code for altering the color of your background. Feel free to use this chart as a guide when designing your next layout or project.

hexadecimal color helps us, especially in graphic design. It helps us to get the match colors in our design, because we cannot count on our eyes to get the match colors we need in our design.
